Sensi-Starr is pleased to announce featured artist Ren Thomas took the title of TeamBackPack’s 2016 Cypher Champion at MUNY’s (Mission Underground New York) annual conference in Bushwick June 16th. Thousands of up and coming artists submitted videos of their best 16 bars for just a chance to compete for this coveted title and an opportunity to showcase their lyricism. Ren beat out hundreds of competitors spanning the furthest reaches of the globe.

With Canadian (2015) and West Coast (2016) tours under his belt and a preceding reputation as an unrelenting battle MC, Ren Thomas is no stranger to success. Recognized as a Ludicris Magnum Live Large Semi Finalist (2012), EOW USA Champion where he placed 3rd worldwide (2013), and EOW USA Runner Up (2015) Ren is clearly resetting bars with bars on an international soundstage. With an extensive catalogue, heavy resume and growing list of accolades he’s undoubtedly one of the top contenders in the underground hip hop community.
